Overview
Public Dental Service NHS Borders requires a qualified Dental Hygiene Therapist to be part of our dental team. The post holder will support effective team working and deliver patient care demonstrating our core values: Care and Compassion, Quality and Teamwork, Dignity and Respect, Openness, honesty and responsibility.
Responsibilities
* Work as a Dental Hygiene Therapist within the Public Dental Service supporting Clinicians.
* Deliver high quality dental services to address unmet dental needs across NHS Borders.
* Cover duties across clinics in Coldstream, Galashiels, and Hawick as required by service needs.
Qualifications and experience
* Recognised Dental Hygiene Therapist qualification; registered with the General Dental Council.
* Knowledge and experience in secondary care dental procedures; ability to work within your scope across NHS Borders to support the service.
* Full driving licence is essential.
* Working knowledge of R4 Clinical Plus patient management system is desirable.
* Experience of working within the Public Dental Service is desirable.
* Job share considered.
Working pattern and location
Shift pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30–16:30. This is a part-time post and may be filled by job share.
