East Calder Primary School - 27.5hrs/39 week - Fixed Term until 31/3/26

East Calder Primary School and ELC serve the village of East Calder and surrounding areas. The school is part of the West Calder High School cluster. The current total school roll is 447 pupils, including 104 nursery children aged 2-4 years, with morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions.
Our staff includes 20 teachers, 2 Early Years Officers (EYOs), 16 nursery staff, and a team of pupil support workers and advanced pupil support workers who directly support learners.
The advertised positions are for PEF Pupil Support Workers, each 27.5 hours per week. The successful candidates will work Monday to Friday during term time, with hours from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, to meet learners' needs.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the start date to register, and must apply within three months of starting. If already registered, you will need to update your registration to include West Lothian Council.
This role is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates must join or update their PVG Scheme check before an employment offer is made.
