The Role:
We are looking for a capable and proactive Chef de Partie to run the daily operations of our quiet, self‑contained campus kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with autonomy while still being part of a supportive catering service. You will oversee all aspects of food preparation, service and kitchen organisation, ensuring that students, staff and visitors enjoy consistently high‑quality meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
You will work with a small team in the kitchen, offering guidance and support during service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook and present high‑quality food.
• Run the daily kitchen operation smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain excellent hygiene and follow all food safety standards.
• Complete required checks and keep accurate compliance records.
• Support stock control, stock rotation and waste reduction.
• Work collaboratively with the small kitchen team during service.
• Report hazards, incidents and equipment issues promptly.
Who You Are:
You are an organised, reliable and confident chef who enjoys taking ownership of your work and delivering high standards across all areas of the kitchen. You work calmly and efficiently, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and remains fully compliant day‑to‑day, while also supporting colleagues when needed. You bring experience working in a professional kitchen, along with a strong understanding of food hygiene, safety and allergen requirements. With a friendly and collaborative approach, you communicate well with others and contribute positively to the wider team. You are committed to maintaining professional standards, promoting inclusivity and providing excellent customer service.
