SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm & 10am-7pm
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
This role is a semi-skilled position providing fabric and low-level building services assistance & support to the site engineering team. Responsibilities include managing the daily reactive help desk, monitoring incoming work, and ensuring completion and close-off. Duties also involve escorting subcontractors, minor PPM works, assisting with routine tasks/minor maintenance, painting, decorating, and small ground maintenance works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure routine fabric maintenance across the facility meets and exceeds expectations and service level agreements.
2. Carry out logged reactive tasks efficiently, meeting expectations and SLAs, as directed by line management.
3. Assist with office moves and client-requested changes.
4. Perform painting, decorating, and DIY tasks to maintain an attractive environment.
5. Support general grounds maintenance activities.
6. Manage stock loading/unloading and ensure safe storage of equipment and spares.
7. Replace lamps and clean lighting diffusers in accordance with electrical safety rules and LOTO procedures.
8. Complete all relevant paperwork promptly for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works.
9. Assist site engineers with Water Hygiene tasks, maintaining the Water Management System logbook (L8 training provided if needed).
10. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, wearing PPE and complying with policies and procedures.
11. Maintain the storage area safely and tidily.
12. Ensure all works comply with H&S requirements, avoiding disruptions unless pre-approved.
13. Keep working areas clean and tidy at all times.
14. Participate in out-of-hours activities as needed.
15. Conduct routine plant checks and other tasks as directed.
16. Contribute to the upkeep of the CAFM system (MAXIMO).
17. Plan annual holidays in advance.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Formal fabric maintenance training or demonstrable experience.
* Formal building maintenance training or experience.
* Health and safety training.
* Experience with health and safety obligations in maintenance.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Customer-focused attitude.
* Calm under pressure, able to make sound decisions.
* Physically capable of carrying tools/components up to 20kg.
* IT literacy.
* Respectful and polite in interactions.
CUSTOMER/SITE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS (SECURITY CHECKS)
* Demonstrate last 5 years of work history.
* DBS check required.
* Airside pass application, with personal details verification.
* Gulfstream pass application upon successful completion of above.
* No photography allowed on site or for social media/private use.
