The IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. Key focus areas include Microsoft on-premises infrastructure, VMware administration, Microsoft 365 migration, Veeam backup solutions, and storage technologies.

The client
An organisation within the charity sector with a small team of 5 engineers covering IT Support, System Administration, and management of the organisation's IT Infrastructure. The team is headquartered in Newtownards, with offices and staff across Northern Ireland.
Criteria for the IT Infrastructure Engineer position
The hiring team values experience and capability over years of experience. They are looking for candidates with:
* Foundation Degree in IT or higher
* Experience with Cisco Meraki
* Experience with VMware, vSphere, and vCenter management
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.
* Experience migrating to Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint, Office, Teams, Intune)
* Experience using Veeam for backup and recovery
* Strong knowledge of storage systems such as SAN, NAS, DAS
* Understanding of network architecture (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall configuration
* Understanding of network security fundamentals
* Driving Licence and access to own car
