Start Date: 1st September 2024 Salary: £21,966 The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 3.
We are looking for passionate and ambitious Early Years Educator who will work in partnership with our Early Years team to ensure a high standard of care, teaching and learning across our Early Years Unit.
The Early Years Unit includes nursery and reception pupils and is part of St Augustine’s CofE Primary School. We have high expectations for all our pupils and children make excellent progress from their starting point.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Encourage a love of learning through high quality teaching under the EYFS framework
2. Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences
3. Build relationships with the team to create an inspiring working environment
4. Be the key person for a group of children
5. Deliver adult led learning activities and support children’s independent learning
6. Contribute to maintaining a high quality indoor and outdoor learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
7. has an Early Years Level 3 or above qualification that is approved by the DFE within child development
8. can deliver high quality teaching and learning in Early Years
9. can deliver specific support to raise the attainment of under-performing children and groups
10. can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning
11. can work independently to deliver, monitor and evaluate learning activities
12. has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff

St Augustine’s is a small vibrant, multicultural, inner city school with 200 pupils on roll. It is a 1 form entry school with a Nursery.
