Orpington Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking a highlymotivated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join ourdynamic multidisciplinary team. About the Role:As an ANP within Orpington PCN, you will work autonomously and collaborativelyto assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a range of conditionsacross our member practices. You will play a key role in supporting primarycare services, reducing GP workload, and improving patient access andexperience.
Main duties of the job
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide expert care to patients
- Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions independently
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice and in line with local guidelinesContribute to health promotion, disease prevention and long-term condition management
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across GP practices within the PCN

Job responsibilities
About the Role: As an ANP within Orpington PCN, you will work autonomously and collaboratively to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a range of conditions across our member practices. You will play a key role in supporting primary care services, reducing GP workload, and improving patient access and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide expert care to patients
- Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions independently
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice and in line with local guidelines
- Contribute to health promotion, disease prevention and long-term condition management
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across GP practices within the PCN
Qualifications
- Completed MSc or PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent recognised ANP qualification).
- Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300).
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
- Proven experience working at an advanced level in primary care or urgent care settings.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working in Primary Care.
- Experience using EMIS.
- Experience contributing to service improvement, pathway design or PCN-level initiatives.
- Understanding of ARRS roles and how to maximise workforce utilisation within primary care.
