Bromsgrove (office based role, 1 day a week working from home, but greater office presence will be required during the probationary period whilst you settle in)
£36,575.24 per annum

We have an opportunity for a Lettings Officer to join us to provide an elevated level of service to all housing applicants, providing regular updates and adapting to the customer's needs.
The role
Our Lettings service is an everchanging service that evolves to the needs of the customers and the business. As our Lettings Officer, you will be responsible for the letting of all new build properties and re-let properties owned or managed by the Trust.
You will support our customers from the point of shortlisting them, carrying out accompanied viewings, sign ups, and providing pre-tenancy advice and support throughout the lettings process. You will work with the Void repairs team to ensure that properties are re-let in line with current targets, and you will liaise with the Incomes Team and 360 Support to ensure the effective management of customers rent accounts.
We have moved to a more digital way of working; skills will be required on all forms of technology to complete sign-up of existing stock and new build properties. You will also need to complete mutual exchanges, successions, change of tenancies, offer guidance, support and signposting to help create sustainable homes and communities.
About you
We are looking for a Lettings Officer with knowledge and experience of social housing and the letting of properties.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer facing role and the ability to adapt communication style to suit individual needs. Our customers are diverse and can be vulnerable so you will need to have a flexible, caring, understanding and positive approach.
You will have excellent IT skills include previous experience in the use of IT based systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of housing law and practice would be advantageous however this is not essential.
A basic DBS check, a valid driving licence and an insured vehicle is required for this role.
