The Vice President, Global Advanced Wound Care Strategy & Development drives Advanced Wound Care’s global strategic plan development, develops a deep understanding on market factors, including competitive intelligence, identifies and executes on global external opportunities within Advanced Wound Care (AWC), leads BU M&A process in collaboration with Corporate Development from pre-diligence through integration, leads integration efforts, and oversees high-impact, cross-functional strategic projects. The VP reports directly to our AWC CELT member and is a key member of the Business Your key responsibilities will include : 1.The Strategic Plan Development for Advanced Wound Care (AWC). In this role, you will lead the global BU strategy development, own the creation, communication, and execution of AWC’s long-term strategic plan, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market dynamics. You will also drive global BU strategic projects: Championing and delivering high-impact initiatives to advance AWCs competitive position and growth trajectory. This will involve strong cross-functional collaboration with your key partners including R&D, Marketing, Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence 2. Global, External Opportunities (Strategy & Business Development) - You will serve as a critical external face of the AWC business, building trusted relationship with potential external partners and target companies. You will need to develop a robust, impactful inorganic pipeline for our Business Unit. This includes opportunity identification and vetting, searching for and vetting possible targets within or close extensions of the sector, leading BU M&A processes for all transactions, collaborating with Corporate Development for and External Innovation. This role also requires the ability to do market and competitive intelligence: Analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation. In terms of external innovation you will be Identifying and evaluating external innovation to inform technology and innovation strategy, working with External Innovation function as needed, to identify and evaluate white space and technology hunting grounds. From a business development perspective, you will develop and execute comprehensive business plans to meet or exceed financial goals, including revenue, profitability, and market share 3. Integration Efforts - You are the core team lead for AWC on M&A and equity transactions: Working with Corporate Development leads BU role(s) in integration of acquisitions, ensuring seamless operational, cultural, and strategic alignment. - Leading AWCs strategic transactions: Overseeing all AWC level strategic transactions (other than M&A and equity investments), ensuring value creation and risk mitigation. - Driving post-merger integration on behalf of AWC: Setting benchmarks for integration, leveraging best practices to elevate newly acquired entities and maximize synergies. 4. Other global projects (where relevant) - You will be driving global, cross-functional initiatives: Leading projects that span multiple geographies and functions, delivering measurable business outcomes. From a stakeholder engagement perspective, you will represent AWC in executive forums, with external partners, and at industry events, building and maintaining strategic relationships. 5. Leadership Behaviours - We are looking for a role model in Convatec’s leadership behaviours: The ability to create a purpose led, performance driven organisation and team that accelerates our growth, evolves our culture and enables our people to be at their best What we are looking for in you in terms of Qualifications/Education • A proven track record of strategic leadership in a global Medtech or Pharma organization. • Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 5 years in a senior executive role. • Demonstrated success in business development, M&A integration, and strategic project execution. • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills. • Excellence in collaboration, soliciting a diversity of viewpoints and forging expert, informed solutions • Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field preferred. • Exceptional communication, analytical, and decision-making capabilities Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of working time, primarily within the US and UK Languages : English (speaking, writing, reading) Working conditions: Hybrid working – flexible approach based on business requirements
