This role involves delivering individual therapy, group therapies, and assessments to ensure excellent standards of care for NHS service users requiring inpatient hospital admission. Position Details: Job Title: Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Location: Priory Hospital, Southampton Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time, permanent) Flexibility: Ideal for those seeking flexible working alongside another job role or other commitments What you'll be doing: Individual Therapy: Exclusively with service users on our specialist eating disorder ward, Skylark. We seek a psychologist with an interest or previous experience in working with individuals suffering from eating disorders. Group Therapy: Conducting group therapy across our three wards delivering evidenced based therapeutic interventions across inpatient Eating disorder and adult acute settings. Reflective Practice: You will have the opportunity to facilitate and be a part of reflective practice, including involvement in our weekly DBT consult run by our Psychology Lead. Desirable Experience: Delivering groups derived from CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), and/or ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) approaches. Experience in outpatient or inpatient NHS services, given the NHS-facing nature of this role within an inpatient context.
