We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Assembler for a global engineering group focused on the precise control and movement of fluids in critical applications.
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week. 8.00am to 4.30pm Mon to Thurs and 8.00am to 1.00pm Friday

Job Summary
This role has responsibility for assembling and testing different products that have various levels of complexity which can be multifunctional in design and performance. Typical examples would be but not limited to: Block and Bleed solenoid systems, naval marine manifolds and packages featuring a combination of valves.
Responsibilities
1. Build to GA drawing requirements.
2. Perform fault diagnosis and rectify.
3. Test in accordance with GA drawings, procedures and technical requirements.
4. Finish products ready for inspection/packing including labelling, cleaning etc.
5. Clean components and assemblies.
6. Assist in training and knowledge/skills transfer to employees new to role.
7. Machine sub-assemblies to required specifications and quality.
8. Use measuring equipment to check components to the required specifications and tolerances.
9. Undertake soldering where required.
10. Complete qualifications and re-qualifications as appropriate.
11. Coil winding for typically non flow line type products.
12. Record accurate data using spread sheets and official documents when required.
Desirable Requirements
13. A relevant engineering qualification, i.e. Apprenticeship, NVQ 2 or 3, HNC Eng or equivalent.
14. Ability to read and interpret GA designs, procedures and technical requirements and be able to validate the information and data during build and test.
15. Proven extensive experience and understanding of working with pressure testing using various media e.g. Air, Fluid & Gas.
16. Experience of a multitude of valve designs, demonstrating an understanding of complexities, performance and application.
17. Ability to read, interpret and validate technical drawings, procedures and specifications.
18. High level of attention to detail.
19. Ability to work under own initiative whilst working within design / specification parameters.
20. Ability to fault find and demonstrate capability to problem solve.
21. Ability to communicate fault diagnosis with other departments to achieve resolution, within quality specification.
22. Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner.
23. Good levels of manual dexterity and eye / hand coordination.
24. Extensive experience in complex valve assembly, requiring considerable mechanical skills, to defined quality standards. Could be either continuous or batch production or "one off" processes.
