About Landmark Theatres
Landmark Theatres is a portfolio of regional venues in North Devon and Peterborough receiving a wide variety of arts and cultural opportunities for local communities. This includes major touring productions, highprofile live music acts, bigname standup comedy, dance, superb theatre, and new writing. We also produce highquality Musicals, Drama and Family productions including our annual family Pantomime in Peterborough.
Our venues consist of: Queen Theatre, Barnstaple (650 seats), Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe (450 seats), the New Theatre Peterborough (1,100 seats) and the Key Theatre Peterborough (112 & 360 seats). We are the largest new theatre entrant to Arts Council England's National Portfolio and are working with several highquality partners such as Birmingham Royal Ballet, The National Theatre and Paines Plough.
We receive an annual grant of £1 million a year for the current threeyear funding cycle from to to ensure that Landmark Theatres can deliver an ambitious artistic mission, driving quality work, inspiring, and developing new talent for and with the audience we serve across North Devon and Peterborough. This funding is a great vote of confidence in our potential to deliver to areas previously underinvested in culturally. We are now building a new producing theatre organisation outside London - for the first time in a generation.
The company has strong foundations in generating income as commercially driven businesses, driving trade and strong attendance. But newly found relationships with key stakeholders such ACE have broadened the companies' ambitions against their Let's Create Strategy.

Summary Of Role
The Duty Manager is responsible for directing, supervising and motivating the team in order to achieve business targets. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all stakeholders, ensure the venue and staff are operating within licensing and legal boundaries and work within guidelines to promote the business. When on duty, line manage all front of house, technical and hospitality team members in line with operational requirements.
Operations
* Act as Duty Manager for the venue when required, on a rota basis, taking full responsibility for the safety of the venue, its patrons, staff and visitors;
* Ensure that all venue policies and procedures are adhered to, to ensure legal compliance, safety and protection of assets;
* Act as keyholder for the building with responsibility for the security of all assets;
* Ensure that all theatre bars and restaurants/cafes are operated in a manner that is both professional and profitable to fulfil Landmark Theatre's service standards and meet all business targets;
* Ensure that all bars and food production areas are operating in line with current legislation, Company policies and EHO recommended practices;
* Understand and operate the venue's ticketing system including reserving & booking tickets for patrons, complying with all cash handling procedures and PCI compliance;
* Assist with internal audits as requested and in a timely and professional manner;
* Maintain accurate stock sheets and carry out regular counts as and when required;
* Understand the venue till operations to overcome any potential issues whilst on duty;
* Drive the venue teams in their implementation and improvement of all Company procedures and policies.
Customer Service
* Maintain customer service standards that, when met, will guarantee the delivery of excellence in all aspects of customer service;
* Utilising the feedback received from mystery shopper reports, work to make improvements where necessary;
* Assist with all enquiries from customers and stakeholders, including offering directions, the sale of tickets via the venue's ticketing system and details of our services;
* Support the FOH & Hospitality teams, offering assistance in all locations where required. This includes, but is not limited to, bar work, ticket sales, ushering, roaming sales and cleaning;
* When on duty, ensure that the FOH areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness at all times, including the auditorium, event spaces, foyers and toilets;
* Act as 'the face of' the Company and venue at all times and respond to all customer enquiries as per the venue policy, in a professional manner, representing the Company appropriately.
Environmental Impact & Ethics
* Ensure that all waste products generated by Hospitality and Front Of House activities are disposed of in a manner which assists Landmark Theatres in working towards "zero to landfill" criteria and contributes to the reduction of the use of plastics as much as possible in line with the Landmark Theatres Key Values.
Finance
* Support the venue teams with financial reporting tools and end of shift procedures and oversee that their output is accurate and reliable;
Other Responsibilities
* Dress in accordance with Landmark Theatres uniform policy;
* Undertake training as relevant to the post, as and when requested;
* Carry out other duties that may from time to time be reasonably required by other departments, to assist Landmark Theatres in achieving its business and charitable objectives.
