Apply for this job Materialise OrthoView is a software solution used by orthopaedic surgeons to identify key measurements and implant specifications prior to joint replacement surgery (mostly hip replacement procedures), with many other clinical modules. It is a global leader in the market with a prestigious clientele all around the world (70 countries - sales via channel partners) and has pioneered the development of orthopaedic preoperative planning since 2002. All development, testing, and support functions for OrthoView are (together with UK Medical Sales and Marketing) based in our Southampton office. We have different production workloads with connected services on a global scale. What you will do Assess product requirements, liaise with the development team, create test plans and manual test scripts, write automated test scripts, and perform manual testing Follow scripts and perform exploratory testing, checking for the quality and accuracy of the software under test Prepare and maintain test plans and test cases in an Azure Dev Ops environment Perform manual and automated testing Collaborate and contribute to the quality roadmap and test processes Conduct risk assessments Ensure traceability of test cases back to user stories Identify key components and processes for improvement and actively recommend improvements Build virtual environments using Vagrant and Virtual Box Your profile Essential skills At least 3 years of experience in commercial software testing Software engineering, mathematical or scientific degree Strong manual testing techniques A strong team ethic and desire to succeed Customer-oriented thinking Strong problem-solving skills Knowledge of best practice software engineering processes and techniques A challenging and inquiring mind Attention to detail, methodical, and tenacious Highly desirable skills Testing within a medically regulated environment Experience testing desktop applications Ability to identify issues within log files Exposure to a variety of testing techniques and tools Experience working in an agile scrum environment Knowledge of automated testing Behavioral-driven development experience Advantageous skills CI/CD experience Experience with performance testing tools Experience with Java or Python Knowledge of DICOM or image processing applications in general Knowledge of Active Directory and central authentication Knowledge of Wireshark Holds an ISTQB or similar qualification Location and type of contract Southampton, United Kingdom Full-time Hybrid Mid-senior Working at Materialise Materialise is a dynamic, international high-tech company, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Belgium, with over 2,300 employees worldwide.
