Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals for residents, tailored to individual dietary needs, cultural preferences, and medical requirements
* Prepare and serve staff breakfasts and lunches
* Follow weekly menus and adapt meals where necessary to meet special dietary needs
* Maintain accurate records and complete all required kitchen and food safety documentation
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and infection control standards
* Manage stock levels and inform management of low supplies
* Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met
* Keep the kitchen and storage areas clean, organised, and compliant with inspections
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or as a chef/kitchen staff (care home experience preferred but not essential)
* Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary requirements
* Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Essential: Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above desirable)
