Supervise and support junior members of staff in the delivery of patient care. Communicate between the Nursing and Multidisciplinary Team to relay information necessary to ensure that the patient receives the prescribed treatment and care.

Teaching and advising patients and relatives about instruction necessary for their discharge and allaying any fears which they may have regarding their condition. Participate in the discharge planning process.
Communicate with Burns Network partners, Community Services and General Practitioners where necessary, ensuring the relevant documentation is completed.
Provide out of hours advice to patients as per the 24 hour advice helpline service given to patients in the Burns system.
Participate in the burns referral bleep rota, triaging patients for admission/assessment by the Burns Service. Liaise with medical staff and the Burns Network.

We are looking for a Junior Sister who is passionate about the Burns and Plastic Surgery service and the needs of the patients. The successful candidate would have extensive post registration knowledge of the Burns and Plastic Surgery unit and a desire to Implement and share knowledge with others.
They must embrace new technologies and treatments and keep abreast of developments within burns.
