The Role As a Service Engineer, you will provide maintenance, repairs, field modifications and delivery support services at a defined quality level in the most efficient way to customers within the Midlands region and UK wide to support the wider team as required. Reporting to the Technical Service Manager and working alongside local service management teams to provide key support, you will deliver a timely and appropriate service to Medstrom's current customer base and potential new customers. Ensuring any technical service work is carried out to manufacturer specifications and recommendations, you will administer and maintain a stock of spare parts. You will implement product modifications, upgrades and field corrections and assist in the delivery of training where required. Following up on customers’ needs or complaints, you will co-ordinate work in line with contractual obligations and carry out specific projects as required. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: - Carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs at customer sites - Maintaining workload schedules in line with contractual customer obligations, SLAs and KPIs - Planning and organisation of resources, such as spare parts - Managing technical projects, installations and repairs - Training and supervising junior field service staff - Providing advanced technical support to newly launched products - Ensuring compliance with quality processes, both internal and external - Investigating and reporting quality issues along with product incidents, providing technical reports as required - Completing job reports and recording electrical safety testing on products during tasks About You To be considered as a Service Engineer, you will need: - Engineering experience gained in the mechanical or electrical field - Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety regulations - Excellent customer service skills - IT skills, including MS Office - City and Guilds 2377 Electrical Safety Testing is desirable - A full, valid UK driving licence - Willing to be DBS checked Please note, there will be a requirement to travel nationally as required, so there is a need for flexibility with travel and staying away.
