About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our Midlands regional team, leading quality delivery on one of the UK’s largest and most complex new-build prison projects — a £750m scheme forming part of the Ministry of Justice Constructor Services Framework.
This is a rare opportunity to shape and implement the quality strategy for a landmark public sector development, with an M&E value of around £220m. The project combines large-scale new build construction with an extension to an existing facility, scheduled to complete in 2028.
What You’ll Be Doing

* Drive a culture of quality excellence across design, installation, and commissioning phases.
* Conduct site audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, ensuring works meet contract and statutory requirements.
* Collaborate with project, engineering, and delivery teams to prevent defects and ensure right-first-time delivery.
* Oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all QA documentation meets client and regulatory expectations.
* Engage with supply chain partners to ensure quality standards are achieved and continuously improved.
* Report on project quality performance and implement corrective and preventative actions where required.
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong technical insight and a proactive, collaborative approach. You’ll be confident engaging with multiple stakeholders and have a genuine passion for raising standards.

* A solid understanding of ISO 9001 and NEC contracts.
* Experience developing and managing project-specific quality systems.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Relevant qualifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, Chartered Quality Professional, or an engineering discipline degree.

With a reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects across the public and private sectors, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career with a company that values technical excellence and continuous improvement.
