An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 7 Advanced Clinical Physiologist to join our friendly neurophysiology team.
The department has a well-established neurophysiology service comprising 8 clinical physiologists and a team assistant, with support from 3 consultant neurophysiologists, working together to provide a quality service to inpatients and outpatients.
The department provides routine Nerve Conduction Studies, a wide range of EEG testing (standard, sleep deprived, ambulatory, and video telemetry), and electrodiagnostic testing including VER & ERG and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests. We see patients of all ages, with half of our EEG work being paediatric.
Your role involves managing the neurophysiology service to ensure smooth clinic operations and service development. Responsibilities include performing and interpreting advanced neurophysiological tests such as EEG and nerve conduction studies, overseeing reports, and auditing results for quality control. You will also train apprentice physiologists as required.
This role requires cross-site working, primarily covering inpatient work across UHDB sites at Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton.
