Due to a healthy forward workload, we are currently looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Technician to join Leeds office team. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects spanning the retail, logistics, rail, residential, commercial, and renewables sectors.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assisting a team of engineers and technicians with the production of engineering drawings in AutoCAD & Civils 3D
2. Production of AutoCAD Models of our schemes.
3. Preparation and checking of simple engineering calculations
4. Initial checking of own work and junior staff members
5. Contributing to and providing solutions to design problems
6. Meeting agreed deadlines
7. Liaison with statutory bodies such as Water Companies, Environmental Agency and County Roads Departments
8. Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output by the team (drawings, reports etc.) is maintained.
9. Liaise in a professional manner with colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers and offer advice and guidance on matters relating to their work.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
1. A qualification as a technician is helpful but Civils 3D skills must be of a high standard
