Role Overview:
We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical installation works on a high-profile project in Chichester. This is a long-term opportunity with a well-established and reputable contractor, offering stability, strong support, and the chance to work on quality projects.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing mechanical site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all mechanical installation works on site
• Supervise subcontractors and direct labour to ensure productivity and quality
• Plan, coordinate, and programme works to meet project deadlines
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives
• Monitor progress, report on programme, and resolve site issues
• Ensure high standards of workmanship and site housekeeping
Skills & Experience Required:
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or Supervisor
• Strong background in commercial / industrial mechanical installations
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
• Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• CSCS card (essential)
