3 months contract with a local authority Job Purpose The Youth Offending Team Officer will work with children and young people who are at risk of offending or who have already offended, with the aim of preventing reoffending and supporting positive outcomes. The role involves multi ‑ agency collaboration to deliver targeted interventions, safeguard young people, and promote their social inclusion, education, and wellbeing. Key Duties/Accountabilities Manage a caseload of children and young people subject to statutory and non ‑ statutory interventions. Undertake robust assessments, including AssetPlus assessments, and develop tailored intervention plans. Deliver one ‑ to ‑ one and group interventions focused on reducing reoffending and addressing criminogenic needs. Prepare high ‑ quality reports for court, panels, and internal meetings within required timescales. Work closely with partner agencies including Police, Probation, Social Care, Education, Health, and voluntary organisations. Essential Experience Required Proven experience of working with children and young people, particularly those at risk of offending or social exclusion. Experience of working within a youth justice, criminal justice, social care, or related environment. Essential Qualifications Required A relevant qualification in Youth Justice, Social Work, Probation, Criminology, Psychology, Youth & Community Work, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
