Title: Team Leader - Recovery worker and Substance misuse experience required
Location: N15 6HRPay Rate: £20 per hourContract: OngoingReporting to: Service Manager
Role Purpose
The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with contractual, clinical, and statutory requirements. The role involves leading a team to deliver effective support services while maintaining best practice standards and promoting organisational values.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Quality
* Ensure the development and delivery of the service meets contractual requirements
* Maintain high standards of clinical practice within the service
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
* Monitor and meet quality assurance and performance targets
* Ensure accurate record keeping, data collection, and reporting
Leadership & Team Management
* Provide strong leadership and direction to the team
* Manage staff performance through supervision, coaching, and development reviews
* Conduct inductions and ongoing support for team members
* Identify and address underperformance, supporting the Service Manager with performance management processes
* Assist with recruitment of staff and volunteers
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with commissioners and external service providers
* Represent the organisation and promote its services and values
Operational & Financial Management
* Support the management of the service budget
* Ensure effective resource allocation within the service
Professional Practice & Development
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the alcohol, drug, and gambling fields
* Participate in supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development
* Attend meetings, training sessions, and relevant events
