Client
Our client, situated in Great Sutton, is a medical practice focused on delivering top-tier healthcare to the local community. They offer tailored services and have a team of experienced professionals providing care in a friendly and compassionate environment.
Role details
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 05:30–07:30am, total 10 hours per week
Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
* Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
* Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
* Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
* Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, offices, kitchens, communal areas, restrooms, and corridors.
* Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
* Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
* Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
* Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
* Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
* Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
* Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
* Good communication skills to report issues or concerns to management
