The opportunity
EY has a market-leading Risk practice which requires a strong data and technology focus to deliver strategic, future-proof solutions with a control and efficiency lens. This presents an opportunity for Technology Consulting to support our clients in articulating their technology and data strategy and implementing transformations by harnessing their data, identifying business-enabling technology tools, and streamlining their technology estates.
You will work on business-critical engagements, such as helping investment banks improve compliance with regulations like Basel 3, FRTB, BCBS 239, and preparing for upcoming regulations around Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk, and deploying AI responsibly. EY is also recognized as a leader in ESG and sustainability consulting, helping banks become more profitable and sustainable.
Our team collaborates globally, mainly serving the UK market, and works extensively with partners like Microsoft, IBM, Snowflake, Moody’s, ServiceNow, Pega, and FinTech firms. We focus on delivering large-scale technology change, leveraging proprietary EY tools and vendor solutions, and deploying teams across on-shore, near-shore, and off-shore locations.
We seek Risk Technology Senior Consultants due to high demand and growth, offering engaging experiences that last a lifetime.
Your key responsibilities
* Engagement delivery: including techno-functional analysis, solution and data architecture, solution design, and implementation management.
* Solution development: research, prototype design, software engineering, and testing to address client needs.
* Business development: building trusted advisor relationships, working on proposals, and supporting thought leadership.
Skills required include:
* Commercial and interpersonal skills: stakeholder management, business development, collaboration, resilience, client engagement, critical thinking, diversity, and understanding of risk processes and regulations.
* Technical skills: program delivery (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall), tools like JIRA, Pivotal, Confluence, engineering skills (SQL, Python, Java, etc.), data architecture, AI, testing, process automation, cloud technologies, security, and emerging tech awareness.
* Academic background: university degree, 2:1 or equivalent, or outstanding alternative qualifications.
