An enthusiastic Nursery Teacher is required for a caring Good primary in Northampton. This Full-Time Nursery Teacher post has a January 2026 start; the appointed Nursery Teacher will undertake preparation and curriculum planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Nursery Teacher. The school provides bright indoor and outdoor provision and a skilled team of teaching assistants to support the Nursery Teacher.

(Nursery Teacher) Responsibilities
The appointed Nursery Teacher will plan and deliver rich continuous provision, lead high-quality adult-led sessions, support language development and early number awareness. The Nursery Teacher will use observation to assess progress, plan next steps and share progress with families. The Nursery Teacher will liaise with reception colleagues to ensure smooth transition and will contribute to whole-school events from January 2026 onward. As the Nursery Teacher you will lead outdoor learning, set up environments and co-ordinate key-worker groups.

(Nursery Teacher) Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or EYTS plus recent early-years experience as a Nursery Teacher.
• A creative, reflective and resilient Nursery Teacher with strong interpersonal skills.
• The Nursery Teacher must be available to prepare before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach full-time from January 2026 as the Full-Time Nursery Teacher.

Contract and support
This is a Full-Time Nursery Teacher position starting January 2026. The Full-Time Nursery Teacher will get a tailored induction package, collaborative planning time and ongoing coaching. The Full-Time Nursery Teacher will be supported by a friendly leadership team and an experienced early-years phase.
