Your Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Manager to join our Distribution Centre where you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities within a busy warehouse environment.
You will be responsible for managing a team of Distribution Operators across all areas of Distribution including Putaway, Replenishment, Pick, Pack, Marshalling and Despatch. You will have responsibility for achieving daily deadlines, service requirements and ensuring the Distribution Centre remains compliance.

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking, transport links, an on-site canteen serving hot and cold food/drinks.
Working hours: You will work 10am-6pm, 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday. You are required to work 1 bank holiday at Easter and 1 in May.
This position may occasionally require working outside of normal hours, so flexibility is essential.
Your Main Responsibilities
Leading, mentoring and developing a team of distribution operatives.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team huddles to set clear objectives and drive a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Ensure all team members adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data to identify trends, and implementing solutions to improve operational metrics
Ensure departmental compliance with all regulatory requirements particularly those relating to Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
What You Need To Succeed
Knowledge & Compliance: Strong understanding of warehousing processes, operational controls in a Distribution Centre, and Good Distribution Practice, with a clear focus on health and safety.
Leadership & Teamwork: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of distribution operatives. Experienced in managing absence, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and fostering a positive, high‑performance culture.
Accuracy & Problem‑Solving: Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail under pressure, with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
Communication & Literacy: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; numerate and literate.
Continuous Improvement: Experienced in managing investigations, identifying root causes, and driving safety and process improvements.
