Provide technical account support to a portfolio of approximately 300 clients across Whitemoss Hazardous Landfill and Ling Hall landfill sites, with dedicated technical guidance for 100 key accounts to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Proactively identify and develop new opportunities for hazardous and non hazardous inputs to the Ling Hall and Whitemoss Landfill sites Proactively identify and develop new opportunities for export of materials from the Whitemoss Landfill site Promote the capabilities and services offered by Whitemoss and Ling Hall both internally and externally so as to achieve the budgeted revenue growth targets for each facility. Conduct regular technical site visits to clients across the Midlands and North of England to perform waste stream assessments, verify waste classifications, provide technical consultancy on waste management solutions, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Support the commercial team with technical input during pricing reviews and customer discussions, ensuring all proposals maintain compliance with permit conditions and operational capabilities while meeting business requirements. Provide management teams with monthly technical performance reports, waste stream analysis, compliance metrics, regulatory updates, and recommendations for process improvements and innovative treatment technologies. Ensure all waste acceptance processes comply with documented operating procedures, site permit conditions, and QHSE requirements, including detailed verification of client waste declarations, supporting documentation, waste analysis certificates, and conducting technical risk assessments for non-standard waste streams. What we're looking for: Proven technical experience in waste management or environmental services with demonstrable success in managing client accounts, providing technical consultancy, and ensuring regulatory compliance, ideally within the hazardous waste or landfill operations sector. Strong technical knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste classification, waste acceptance criteria, landfill operations, environmental permit conditions, and Landfill Tax guidance including LFT1 and QMO, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements. Sound commercial awareness with the ability to provide technical input to pricing decisions, understand cost implications of waste treatment options, and support business objectives while maintaining technical integrity and compliance standards. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills combined with strong self-motivation, organisation and time management abilities to balance technical assessment of enquiries with proactive client support and technical problem-solving in an autonomous role.
