About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, ensuring they have access to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties.
2. Assisting the class teacher in delivering adapted lessons.
3. Providing one-on-one and small group interventions.
4. Encouraging student confidence, independence, and engagement.
5. Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
6. Promoting a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
1. Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred).
2. Experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
3. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
4. Ability to work as part of a team and follow individual support plans.
5. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies (training available).
