We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivatedindividual to join our Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Team.
Applications are welcome someone with a special interest in working with this patient group, therefore, you are not expected to hold expert the knowledge as there is opportunity towards accreditation by the Society for DBT (SfDBT).
The current team offers treatment to patients. Sitting within the Complex Needs Service (CNS), the DBT service is a small team offering therapy to patients across Worcestershire, within Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams (NMHTs), meeting criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder. Applications are invited for part time (30 hours over four days) Band 6 post, predominantly based in Worcester.
This role works as part of a well-resourced team where your contributions will play a significant part in a persons transformative recovery.
Main duties of the job
The post holder joining DBT provide the four modalities: individual, group, coaching and consultation. Patients are seen weekly developing a therapeutic rapport enabling you to deliver psychologically informed therapies within an adherent DBT framework. You will to co- facilitate a weekly skills group.
Four days will include Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am - 5pm excluding bank holidays.
Emphasis is on having an understanding of the complex nature of this patient group potentially offering advice, consultation, and training to staff within the Neighbourhood Teams.
Evaluation of interventions and impact of the service in terms of benefit to clients is an important component of the service.
Training undertaken supporta you in your role and professional development and a high level of supervision including line management, clinical supervision and weekly reflective practice is included.
The team has emphasis on co-production and demonstrates an attitude respecting clients values and goals.

Undertake an initial assessment for people referred to CNS.
Where indicated, provide treatment using effective evidence-based intervention.
Participate in training and regular clinical supervision with peers and clinical supervisors plus managerial supervision to enable you to fulfil the role.
Ensure that information and progress regarding patients are communicated promptly and accurately to other team members and relevant organisations whilst having due regard for confidentiality.
Where indicated act as case manager to ensure that each patient in their care receives an individual assessment and regularly updated care plan which is formulated with the service user. This will be in line with the Trusts Policy where indicated.
Take a role in delivering a team duty system.
Standard keyboard skills to be able to meet the IT requirements of the post.

Essential
* Relevant professional qualification relating to Health or Social Care with current professional registration RMN, BSc/Dip SW, BSc OT
* Recent evidence of continuing professional development
* Intensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or completed Foundation training
* Commitment to Continuing Professional Development in the field of personality disorder
* Must be willing to undertake further training to enhance and develop as a therapist to post graduate diploma
* I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
