What You’ll Be Doing
As Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll lead the preparation of UK statutory accounts and drive high-quality financial reporting across the UK group and related entities. You’ll manage complex accounting projects, partner with the Shared Service Centre, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders—including EY auditors—to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare UK statutory accounts under FRS101 using Caseware
* Convert management accounts to IFRS for UK securitisation structures
* Stay ahead of IFRS developments and narrative reporting requirements
* Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, including ROU assets and lease liabilities
* Conduct structured balance sheet reviews and ensure GL reconciliation accuracy
* Produce quarterly MI reports for external funders, reconciling to statutory accounts
* Collaborate across UK, Ireland, and Nordics finance teams to support reporting and decision-making
* Support external reporting for acquisitions, disposals, and restructuring
Audit & Controls
* Lead the annual external audit process, coordinating with EY and internal teams
* Draft technical papers on key accounting judgments
* Maintain robust reporting controls and support the Group Internal Control programme
* Advise on accounting treatments and safeguard financial system integrity
Business Partnering & Management
* Support the Finance Director with cash flow analysis and monthly reporting packs
* Provide analytical commentary on balance sheet and P&L
* Identify and implement process improvements across reporting functions
What We’re Looking For
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), ideally with audit experience in practice
* Strong knowledge of statutory accounts, IFRS (especially IFRS 16), and financial reporting principles
* Experience with Caseware or similar accounts production tools
* Proven ability to prepare technical accounting papers and manage audits
* Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting system proficiency
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement
