About the Role Sense is recruiting a Curriculum Manager - Employment, this is a full time permanent, role based at our college in Loughborough. The successful candidate will ensure all our students get the best possible careers education, advice and guidance by engaging with local employers. You will ensure the college understands the needs of the local job market and the opportunities for our students. As well as building partnerships with local employers and other agencies to develop out supported internships and other work based learning programmes. The main duties and responsibilities include :Working with external agencies to increase employment opportunities and outcome sCurriculum design and development of key vocational areas to a high-quality standar dLine management of Employment Support Worker tea mEnsure the careers plan is strategic and aligns with the college’s priorities .Create, review, and evaluate the careers programme to ensure it is challenging and inclusive for all students at Sense College .Plan and execute careers activities. Build a network of alumni who can assist with the careers guidance programme for students. Share careers information through various media to all stakeholders .Establish and maintain good relationships with the Careers Hub, local colleges, education providers and community organisations. Liaise with the Work Experience and Placements Lead for access to local employers .Oversee the achievement of the college’s quality awards, such as Matrix accreditation and the Quality in Careers Standard .Advocate for students rights and inclusion in the community .Ensure the careers programme and Provider Access Legislation statement are current and published on the website .To succeed in this role, you will have :Careers Leadership qualification ideally at level 7Educated to Level 6 in any subjec tLevel 2 or above in English and Math sEvidence of recent and ongoing continual professional developmen tExperience of working & networking with multiple stakeholders, both internal & externa lExperience of supporting students within the context of employability/ careers / achieving target sExperience of maintaining accurate data records & informatio nKnowledge of health & safety & equalities legislatio nPrevious experience of line managing a small tea mExperience of working with Employers and relationship managemen tExperience of quality assurance and quality improvemen tFor a full job description and person specification, please see the link on the left hand side of the page.
