Wellington College is looking for a part-time Equestrian Co-Ordinator to work approximately 6 hours a week over 36 weeks per year. This position will require flexibility depending on Equestrian activities and fixtures.

Equestrian life at Wellington is more than just riding—it's about character, commitment, and community. As Equestrian Co-ordinator, you'll play a key role in shaping pupils' experiences, working closely with the Director of Sport and external providers to ensure a smooth-running calendar of fixtures, training sessions, and enrichment opportunities.

Whether you're liaising with stables, organising travel and kit, or supporting pupils with horse care and competition prep, your attention to detail and warm, professional manner will help create a safe and inspiring environment for all involved.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role that requires initiative, flexibility, and a deep appreciation for the equestrian world. If you're someone who thrives in a busy, purposeful setting and enjoys building relationships, this could be the perfect opportunity.


Key Responsibilities

* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in all aspects of the role, ensuring compliance with College policies and procedures.
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the College's equestrian programme, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with pupils, parents, and external providers.
* Ensure an appropriate fixture programme is provided, supporting both team and individual pupil participation in competitions and events.
* Organise and manage fixtures, competitions, and training sessions, including travel arrangements, kit preparation, and on-site supervision.
* Liaise with stables, transport providers, and event organisers to ensure the smooth running of all equestrian activities.
* Maintain accurate administrative records, including pupil participation, competition results, horse care requirements, and safeguarding documentation.
* Provide administrative support to the Director of Sport, including correspondence, calendar management, and reporting.


About You

* Excellent communication skills to enable effective dialogue with colleagues, staff, visitors, and where applicable, pupils.
* Organised and self-motivated, with a proven record for meeting targets and deadlines.
* Able to perform well, maintain professionalism, display patience and politeness whilst under pressure.


Essential Qualifications & Experience

* Demonstrable experience in an administrative role.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.


Desirable

* Experience working in an independent school environment.
* Experience coordinating equestrian events or working within a riding school or stables.
* Knowledge of British Eventing, Pony Club, or NSEA competition frameworks.
