The role
Are you an experienced administrator looking for a rewarding and meaningful role? New College Pontefract is looking for an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to support whole-college personal development.
In this role, you will be responsible for registering and supervising students in our Intervention and Support Centre, creating a safe and welcoming environment that supports student success. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of equality and diversity activities, events and publicity, helping to promote these initiatives throughout the college and the wider Trust.
You will also provide support to teaching and support staff, as well as the careers team, by managing a range of administrative tasks linked to student personal development, careers guidance, and progression activities.
About You
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role that requires someone who can manage multiple tasks, often under pressure, while maintaining a high standard of work. Previous experience in an administrative role is essential, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. A good level of IT proficiency, including previous experience of using MS Word, Excel and computerised administration systems is also essential.
Please note that we are also advertising a Receptionist position within the college. You are welcome to apply for both roles, and interviews for both positions will take place on the same day.
