Camberley Cricket Club is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Club Manager to oversee the daily operations of the club, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all our members and visitors. The ideal candidate will have great organisation and leadership skills, along with a passion for great customer experience. This role involves working closely with our guests, players, members and staff to provide a well maintained club that people love coming to. You'll be involved in the day to day smooth running from managing the bar and catering services, planning and co-ordinating events, supervising staff, whilst ensuring compliance with health, safety and licensing regulations.
Duties
* Lead and manage the club's operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring the facilities are well maintained, cleaned and stocked
* Supervise staff members, providing guidance, support, and training as needed and organising all rotas to ensure appropriate cover
* Deliver excellent customer service to members and guests creating a welcoming and positive environment
* Manage the bar and kitchen operations including stock control, purchasing and supplier relationships
* Organise and manage club events such as match days, social events, team teas and private hire events
* Promote clubhouse facilities for external bookings to generate additional income
* Manage budgets for clubhouse operations
* Handling cash and card payments and supporting with financial reporting
* Maintain up-to-date certifications for food hygiene, first aid and alcohol licensing
Ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role previously where customer service has been at the heart. You will ideally have;
* Experience working in a hospitality / sports club or similar environment previously
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Relevant qualifications in food hygiene
* Personal license for alcohol sales (desirable)
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* A passion for cricket is advantageous
Part time hours - likely to require someone to work longer hours during the summer months when the cricket season is underway. Typical working week is likely to be on average c.25 hours a week - Monday - 9-5pm, Wednesday 5-9pm, Friday 4-10pm, Saturday - afternoon/evening, Sunday - 1-5pm
Salary - up to £28,000 pro rated
