Our Team The Electrical Engineering team sits within the Highway Operations section of the Highways and Infrastructure Service. The core focus of the Electrical Engineering team is to manage client activities relating to over 63,000 street lighting columns and 8000 illuminated traffic signs and bollards together with on-going delivery of the Council’s capital replacement and energy reduction programme. The Role As a Technical Assistant you will: · Provide technical assistance for the implementation and delivery of a county-wide and reactive maintenance programme. · Develop and monitor annual and long-term maintenance and capital programmes. · Use and interrogate IT related programmes such as the Street Lighting Asset Management System · Support with production of site plans and works instructions · Liaise with contractors, colleagues, members and other stakeholders about works undertaken within the highways team For more details, please see our Job Description.
