Job responsibilities What youll doTo work as an independent Practitioner under the supervision of the Senior Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP). This role involves undertaking competency-based patient assessment and examination in order to formulate a management plan for specific groups of patients admitted to UHS for diagnosis and / or treatments. The Nurse Practitioner is expected to undertake all preparatory work prior to the patient undergoing treatment or diagnosis which may include consent, request of any further investigations and to highlight any potential complications to the Advanced Clinical Practitioner or relevant medical colleague. What were looking forThe post holder will ideally have experience of supporting patients with Cardiovascular & Thoracic disease within primary or secondary care. They will need to be adaptable and flexible and work in varied environments across organisational boundaries. You will require a flexible approach to working patterns and will be required to work to a rota that includes weekends, bank holidays, and evenings. As a Nurse Practitioner you will be expected to have excellent communication skills, promote the delivery of a high standard of patient-centered care and work between organisational boundaries. You will analyse, monitor and implement actions that ensure the service delivery is safe and effective in line with the Trust values with the support of your colleagues and line manager.
