Position: Production Assistant (Maternity Cover) – Patient Catering, Dr Grays Hospital. This role supports the Central Production Unit to ensure the efficient service of meals to patients, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Flexible to cover shifts as required.
Responsibilities
* Provide timely, high-quality meal preparation and service to patients in a busy hospital environment.
* Prioritise daily kitchen duties to maintain patient service standards.
* Support adherence to food hygiene and environmental health standards.
* Be flexible, committed and maintain a positive attitude in the workplace.
* Contribute to overall efficiency of the catering team during maternity cover.
Qualifications
* Ideally some catering experience.
* Good knowledge of food hygiene and environmental health standards.
* Flexibility to cover varying shifts as required.
Hours
34.60 hours per week, 5 days per week on a rota.
* Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 14:30
* Friday: 07:00 – 14:06
* Saturday: Day Off
* Sunday: Day Off
