Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2026 in the first instance. We are seeking a talented Functional Analyst to support the University's ongoing Student Payment Project, and the recently-launched Cambridge Student Payment Service (CSPS), from within the new Data & Digital Services team in Education.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of a new and vital service built through a collaboration of teams across the University which practically supports thousands of students and meaningfully contributes to the modernisation of the University's digital infrastructure. The CSPS replaces several previous systems and processes with a single, simple payments service delivered through the University's student records system (CamSIS) providing an improved overall experience for both students and staff.
The Student Payment Project has this academic year completed its first phase, with all departments using the CSPS to pay study-related maintenance awards and (optionally) student expense payments. The Project has now entered its continuous improvement phase: amongst other key work, the Project will be enhancing reporting functionality and developing an end-to-end self-service student expenses workflow.
In this role, you will be expected to contribute substantially to the overall success of the Student Payments Project by fulfilling the duties of a functional analyst as required: including providing business analysis; requirement scoping and definition; project, problem and incident management; providing specialist advice and customer support; and other duties outlined in the Further Particulars.
