Overview
The Cambridge Journal of Anthropology, based at the Department of Social Anthropology, University of Cambridge, wishes to appoint an Editorial Assistant to join a busy and friendly administration team. The fixed‑term, part‑time role is for 4 hours per week, from August 2026 until 31 May 2029, due to limited funding.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate administrative support for the Cambridge Journal of Anthropology.
* Ensure smooth and effective support for the production process of the journal.
* Liaise with key stakeholders as necessary, including the Editors of the journal, authors, peer reviewers and the journal publisher.
* Provide general administrative support for the journal, including meetings and finance processing.
* Coordinate the support needed for outreach, publicity, communications and events relating to the journal.
Qualifications
* Experience of administration.
* A degree in a relevant discipline.
* Organised and able to show a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to use social media and promotional channels.
* Experience of publishing software (desirable).
