To work under the direction and supervision of the GPs, Practice Nurses and Practice Manager and in accordance of practice guidelines and protocols. You will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of patient care. Certain duties may require further training, which will be provided by the practice to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Conducting blood pressure, temperature, pulse checks, phlebotomy, ECGs and urine testing
* Assisting with clinics for long-term conditions and conducting new patient health checks
* Administering vaccinations as per protocol and undertaking BMI checks
* INR testing using INRStar software
* Assisting GPs undertaking minor surgery procedures and implants
* Maintaining clinical records
* Managing stock, treatment room cleanliness and complying with infection control standards
* Daily recording of vaccine fridge temperatures

We are a modern skill mixed progressive team serving a population of around 8700 patients with 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 long term locum ANPs, 2 Practice Nurses and an excellent administration support team. We use EMIS Web and have access to Lexacom digital dictation.
We have easy and fast access to the M56, M53 and A55 so are easily accessible from Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester and North Wales. We are uniquely localised between two nearest hospitals providing secondary care services, Wrexham which falls under NHS Wales, and Chester which falls under NHS England.
