My client, a leading regional legal practice, is looking to recruit a Solicitor/Associate (ideally 3-6 years PQE) to join their growing Construction team.
You will work on a broad spectrum of Construction Law matters with regional, national, and international clients. The role involves a mixed caseload, including contentious matters such as litigation, mediation, and adjudication, as well as non-contentious matters like negotiating contracts for new build or construction projects. The primary goal is to generate profitable revenue through excellent client service, efficient practices, and close collaboration with clients and colleagues.
This is a great opportunity to develop a practice in Construction Law, with options to work on a mixed caseload or specialize if preferred.
Job responsibilities:
* Manage your own caseload, ensuring deadlines are met;
* Assist Partners with complex and high-value matters;
* Retain clients through effective management and service delivery;
* Scope and price new instructions appropriately, managing finances well;
* Provide clients with accurate, current legal advice tailored to their circumstances, offering value for money;
* Contribute to the team’s business plan and deliver assigned activities;
* Build relationships across the firm;
* Motivate colleagues to achieve firm objectives and utilize tools and opportunities effectively;
* Support business development and marketing efforts, including attending conferences;
* Manage direct reports as the team expands.
Person Specification:
* Proven technical experience in Construction Law;
* Knowledge of court processes, procedures, and case management;
* Adaptable, enthusiastic, flexible, and capable of working under pressure both independently and in a team;
* Collaborative with colleagues across the firm;
* Client-focused, ensuring timely and cost-effective service outcomes.
Competitive salary and excellent benefits, including 25 days annual leave (rising to 30), pension, private healthcare, training, life assurance, healthcare scheme, subsidized gym membership, hybrid working, on-site parking, canteen, and active social committee.
