We’re partnering with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Bricket Wood, renowned for its commitment to nurturing creativity and fostering both academic success and personal growth. The school offers a welcoming environment where artistic expression thrives, and is now seeking a passionate Art Teacher to join the team on a long-term basis.
Whether you're an experienced Art teacher or an enthusiastic early-career educator, this role offers the chance to inspire students and guide them in developing their artistic skills. You'll be teaching Art and Design across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5 teaching depending on your experience.
The Role:
Deliver exciting, well-planned Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging students to explore their creativity and expand their technical skills.
Teach a diverse range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
Create an engaging, positive classroom atmosphere where students can freely express themselves and experiment with new ideas.
Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
Lead creative projects that allow students to showcase their work, encouraging both individual expression and teamwork.
Collaborate with the Art department to design a dynamic curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
Play an active role in organizing art exhibitions and school events to celebrate student work both within the school and in the wider community.
What We’re Looking For:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential).
Experience teaching Art and Design at secondary school level.
Strong understanding of the Art curriculum and a passion for making lessons engaging and inspiring.
A hands-on teaching approach with the ability to engage students in a variety of artistic techniques.
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).
