We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Primary Teacher to join a supportive and forward‑thinking school in Widnes. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with strong experience or interest in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high‑quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Support pupils with SEND and SEMH, adapting approaches to meet a range of abilities
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies consistently
* Use de‑escalation techniques to support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour
* Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCO, and external agencies
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
* Proven ability to use de‑escalation techniques effectively
* High levels of patience, empathy, and resilience
* A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
