We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected Housing Association for a dedicated and proactive Housing Officer to join their team in Bedford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional to join an organisation committed to delivering high-quality housing management services and supporting sustainable communities.
The Role
As Housing Officer, you will be responsible for managing a defined patch of properties, delivering a comprehensive housing management service to residents while ensuring tenancy sustainment, compliance, and community wellbeing.
You will work both remotely and from the Bedford office, with regular site and estate visits as part of your patch management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing a portfolio of social housing properties
2. Conducting tenancy sign-ups, reviews, and visits
3. Handling anti-social behaviour cases and neighbour disputes
4. Supporting residents with tenancy sustainment and signposting to support services
5. Managing low-level arrears and working closely with income teams
6. Estate inspections and ensuring neighbourhood standards are maintained
7. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies
About You
8. Previous experience in a Housing Officer or housing management role
9. Strong knowledge of tenancy management and relevant housing legislation
10. Experience managing ASB cases and resident engagement
11. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
12. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
