As our Lead for School Improvement, you'll play a pivotal strategic role in elevating educational standards across the county. You'll lead our School Improvement Services, ensuring that children and young people are happy, safe, thriving – and making excellent progress.
Working closely with school leaders, regional partners and internal teams, you'll champion high‑quality teaching, aspirational leadership and evidence‑informed decision‑making. You'll be the driving force behind key strategies that support schools to improve, innovate and excel.
You will be:
* A qualified Teacher with substantial experience in teaching and educational leadership.
* Someone with a deep understanding of curriculum planning, school improvement strategies and effective leadership.
* An excellent communicator with strong analytical, interpersonal and ICT skills.
* A confident leader who can inspire, influence and collaborate with a wide range of colleagues.
* Energetic, enthusiastic and committed to securing outstanding outcomes for learners.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check with Barred List as it involves working closely with children and young people.
You'll need to travel within Carmarthenshire as part of your role.
