Overview
We are seeking a passionate bakers assistant to join our team here at LaDolce Cucina, the Sister company of LaCucina Lounge Deli.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in creating delightful pastries and desserts. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen and ensuring that every dessert meets our quality expectations. Duties
* Prepare and bake a variety of tray bakes, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes.
* Assist in the creation of new dessert items and contribute innovative ideas to the menu.
* Ensure all food production is completed in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times.
* Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs for replenishment.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines while working in the kitchen environment.
Skills
* Proficient in food preparation techniques, with a focus on baking and pastry production.
* Strong culinary skills, particularly in creating various types of pastries and desserts.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to implement them effectively within the kitchen.
* Experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting is advantageous.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously improve skills within the kitchen environment.
