A high-performing secondary school in Cambridge, part of a nationally recognised academy trust, is seeking a Trainee Teacher of Maths to join their team from September. This is a salaried, structured training programme designed to develop future outstanding Maths teachers.
You will be immersed in a dynamic Maths department, supporting pupils across KS3–KS5, including A-Level, while building the skills and confidence required to become a fully qualified teacher.
Key Responsibilities
Support high-quality Maths teaching across KS3–KS5
Deliver targeted GCSE and A-Level intervention (1:1 and small groups)
Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and curriculum delivery
Support pupils with problem-solving, exam technique, and attainment
Build strong relationships to promote engagement and progress
Gradually take responsibility for planning and delivering lessons
