Job Title: Finance Assistant (Temporary – 5 Months)
Salary: Up to £36,000 (pro‑rated)

Main Purpose of Job:
This is a temporary 5‑month position, starting immediately, supporting the central finance function across multiple academies and business units.The role includes leading finance support for a designated training/learning institute, ensuring the delivery of accurate and high‑quality financial reporting to senior management andernance groups.
The postholder will be line‑managed by the Group Finance Manager, who will provide day‑to‑day guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process purchase requisitions and orders for assigned schools/business units using the organisation’s procurement module.
2. Act as the lead contact for purchase order and procurement‑system queries.
3. Provide technical support to finance colleagues and liaise with the system helpdesk and IT support where required.
4. Deliver training and provide assistance to users of the procurement system across the central hub.
5. Manage ie for school trips and activities, including online payment platforms and addressing staff/parent queries.
6. Support accounts payable: process invoices, reconcile credit card transactions, and arrange supplier payments.
7. Assist with accounts receivable and ie processing for assigned schools/business units.
8. Support posting bank transactions into the finance system and producing monthly bank reconciliations.
9. Ensure fullpliance with all finance policies and procedures outlined in the Financial Manual.
10. Work closely with the Senior Finance Officer to maintain efficient daily financial operations.
11. Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Chief Finance Officer.
