About the Role
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:
5. Support classroom teachers with day-to-day tasks and pupil learning
6. Help manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
7. Assist with small group or one-on-one interventions, including support for children with special educational needs (SEND)
8. Contribute to tracking progress and reporting on pupil development
9. Become a vital member of the school community, playing a key role in children’s success
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this programme, you will need to:
10. Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children
11. Show strong communication and teamwork skills
12. Be committed to completing the required training and engaging in continuous professional development
13. Understand the importance of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
14. Be able to clearly explain why you want to work in education and what you hope to achieve in the role
15. Be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check and register it with the Update Service
No formal experience or qualifications are required—just the right attitude and a genuine passion for working with young people.
