Joinery Scheduler Stoke on Trent Perm £28,000 - £37,000 (Negotiable) The Client Our Client supplies bespoke joinery to the commercial, leisure, healthcare, education and fit-out sectors. They design, manufacture and install internal bespoke joinery and acoustic panelling as well as a range of fire-rated and specialists doorsets. The Role To create schedules for door-sets and joinery to allow, enable, the purchase of materials and services for the successful completion of projects on time and in budget. Key Responsibilities Links with Sales/Estimating To assist in sustaining relationship and securing new orders Links with Estimating Attend handover meetings to determine different work packages and the requirements prior to order Links with Project Manager in the Production of master schedule for projects Links with QS to communicate change/variations Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliant / correct door-sets are supplied To carry out assessments of all drawings and specification to ensure compliance Produce and manage RFI process Produce and maintain journal log Site measures where applicable Collaborate with CAD team where applicable Assist buyer where necessary Communicate with project manager on progress Manage changes to drawings/registers Assist with O/M Manuals Document Register Reviewing drawings and distributing to the relevant team members On-line drawing updates reviewed and distributed to the relevant team members Drawings Checking drawings and door schedule, agreeing details and raising queries by way of RFIs Ensuring we are compliant with the NBS specification Checking details on the drawings/door schedule as to sections of timber, specification and requirements e.g. architraves, fire rating, finish, intumescent seals, frame size and structural opening etcConfirming undercut and tolerances required. Ironmongery Reviewing ironmongery schedules and deciding what details are required on the spreadsheet. This information is used for production of the door-sets and the control of the fitting on site. Checking there are no anomalies within the schedule and raising queries by RFIs Ensuring all ironmongery fitting positions are detailed. Checking hinge positions comply with the door certification. Preparing drawings/information for the door set production Co-ordinate Progress Ensure RFIs are followed up and actioned. Reviewing production log regularly checking production dates in co-ordination with Production Manager. Producing information required by Contracts Managers and Site Foreman. Informing Operations Manager of potential orders in good time so production can book production slots. Assisting with maintaining CIS buying material requisition for reporting in co-ordination with QS/AQS.
